Pre-K is going strong

Our pre-K class loves learning with their teachers Mrs. Grandjean and Mrs. Morrell.  They had lots of fun learning about the holidays this fall as well as getting ready for Thanksgiving.

Plimoth Plantation

On Thursday, November 12th, the 2nd and 3rd grade class traveled to Plimoth Plantation in MA to learn more about how the Pilgrims and Indians lived in the 1600s.  What a wonderful way to prepare for Thanksgiving!

D.A.R.E. Graduation

On Monday afternoon, November 16, the 4th and 5th grade class graduated from the D.A.R.E. program at SSA.  The D.A.R.E. program, which is an abbreviation for Drug Abuse Resistance Education, was taught by Office Christopher Kramer of the New London Police Department Youth Services Division.  The objective of the program was to teach our students how to make healthy choices as well as to learn to recognize, avoid and get out of dangerous situations.  The program also allowed our students to interact with a police officer in a positive way.
